We want to thank the many health professionals, nutritional advocates, the fire department, the blood center, and the many community members that participated by either donating blood or taking the time to come and receive information or take advantage of the health check services made available by our participants.

We want to thank our speakers and participants, especially City Council Member Henry T. Perea Jr., who helped make our 1st Chamber Breakfast a success.

We were also glad to share the remaining food with the many homeless that we gave to in the downtown area.

Many Fresno residents fail to get adequate preventative health care. Illnesses such as asthma, cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or depression impose a great burden on the Fresno community. Together they comprise Fresno’s number one health threat and the single greatest cause of death and disability. Yet, many are preventable through changes in behavior or life-style. Imagine how you can make a difference…

The Central California Black Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Central California Blood Center along with numerous companies and organizations, cordially invite you to the 1st Annual “Making a Difference Health Fair & Blood Drive”, featuring various health agencies from around the community. Our goal is to help educate the community about different health issues and helping to save lives by donating blood. We will also feature fun activities for children, food and vendor booths.

We hope that you can join us in our efforts to recognize those who made this event possible. Thank you in advance for your support!

Brother to Brother

Remember British royal custom, and both U.S. and British security procedure dictate that they are not supposed to talk, touch, or shake hands, but the two brothers couldn't resist the historic moment. The black royal cop never imagined in his wildest dream that he would usher a Black American president into the British corridors of power!
